Shri Dixitar had his training under Tiruchi Swamigal. He was the cheif priest at Gavi puram Gangadareshwar temple near Bangalore, Karnataka. For generations Dixitar family have been official priests for the Gavi Puram temple.

Sri Dixitar came to USA in 1984 initially to Flint and then later joined the Albany Hindu Temple. He was the chief Priest at the Albany Temple from 1984 till 2004. Sri Dixitar has also participated in the capacity of a Director/Chief Priest in Shilpa Sthapanams of many Hindu Temples in USA and Canada.

Spiritual and Veda Agama Sudha a non-profit organization was found by Shri Shivaguru Kumaraswamy Dixitar in 1994 at Albany, NY with a vision and mission to promote and sustain Vedic Dharma and the practice of Sanathana Dharma. He has established  a Veda Agama Sudha Ashram- SIVAGURU ASHRAM at Swedesboro, New Jersey, in the year 2004,  to meet  the needs of an individual going through all of four stages of life. His plans include building a Sri Raja Ganapathi Temple at Swedesboro, New Jersey.
